Goodbye Dinosaurs..

This week we have been discussing and writing down our ideas about how the dinosaurs became extinct. Some of us though the dinosaurs may have died from disease spread by insects, others thought a huge asteroid or volcanic eruptions caused them to disappear. We decided to make our own paper-mache volcano and re-enact a volcanic eruption. We had lots of fun watching the end result (a few times!).

Now we’re moving into spring, we will be learning about growth through our story of the week, Jack and the Beanstalk. In maths, we will be re-visiting number bonds to 10 and practising writing and recognition of numbers 11-20 and beyond.
