Eat your greens!
We have been trying new things this week, much like the character in Oliver’s Vegetables. We ate carrots, peas and beetroot from the story and wrote descriptively about how they looked and tasted (beetroot was not particularly popular!) We used our maths skills in the Farm Shop to pay for fruit and vegetables, using 1p and 2p coins. We even had a go at some mark-making art using different types of vegetables and paint!
Next week, as we move closer to Easter, we will read The Goose That Laid The Golden Egg and start to write our own story about a magic egg (we might find hidden in the playground!) We will also be re-visiting the maths topic of recognising and making repeating patterns.
